Screen Doors

page 3

Above we have an unusual combination door. Both screen and glass upper inserts have a round top and the lower panel insert has a solid wood raised panel for winter which is replaced by a screen in the summer giving you maximum ventilation. The extra long stiles you see on all our doors act as feet. These feet protect the corners of the door between the day it is assembled and the day you hang the door, assuring that you to have sharp corners.

"Reg" style combination door $650 Canadian plus shipping. The picture above shows you two views of the same door. On the left you see the door with it's glass storm installed for winter use, while the image at the right shows the look in the summertime with the screen installed. All combination style doors give you two unique looks that will become the focal point of the front of your home. They can look nice on back or side porches too!

Closeup of our work. Each spindle is turned by us, on the lathe and the brackets are cut out on the bandsaw. The screening is usually supplied loose, and applied easily by you after you have painted the fretwork. This is only the beginning of the look as these doors can look a thousand differnt ways with the combination of different colors to match the style and look of your home. We request that customers of different style doors send us pictures of the completed project, so we can add them here to show you what can be done! I am always adding content to this site.

This door is Solid Fir, and has our new optional Bronze screening. We can build these doors from Fir or Cedar, but Pine offers the best value and performance for your money. All woods have their advantages and disadvantages. Ask us if you have any questions.

Above is plain set of screen doors that will fit into a double opening of approx 60"x85" high

Above is plain "John" style double push bar screen door. Thanks Roy! This is $325 Canadian funds.

Color is very important in design. I would have never thought of these two colors looking good , until I saw them used together. This home has come to life from being a very boring cream with white trim.

A matching pair of clear western red cedar combination screen doors now on a home on the island of Nantucket.

Dear Reg,

We have absolutely NO problem using us for a future reference. In fact, if you do get any customers who live in my neighborhood (hopefully from our recommendation!), we'd be Happy to have them stop by! You guys truely do outstanding work that can best be appreciated in person. You can be sure that we'll tell everyone who visits us about your company! As far as buying from you again.......I've already wracked my brain for other items we might "need" but so far I havent thought of anything. I would like to buy lumber from you tho!!!! I'm starting to do some Easy projects on my table and band saw but I dont feel competent enough at it yet to warrant using such beautiful wood as you do!

Well Reg, we just cant say Thank You enough for all you've done for us. I feel that you are going above and beyond what Anyone would expect from a company. You just dont get this level of customer service anymore. I suppose thats why we like to shop with the "Mom and Pop" places versus a conglomerate. I feel very fortunate to have 'found' you and I'm very hopeful we can do business together again! Feel free to contact us anytime if there's ever anything we can do for you.

Regards,
Jim & Elaine Martin , Sunbury Ohio

A traditional combination door shown with the screen insert installed milled from C select Douglas Fir. Thanks Brian!

Classic "Double Ladder" design. Thanks for the image Susan. Nice job!

Christine is a cat lover so she sent us her design for the brackets on this interesting combination door. Note the ladder design is only properly applied in a screen insert. The storm insert is shown below withoyt the ladder of spindles shown above.

Customers letter is posted below in the feedback section but is best summerized by the last two sentences: "I look at the porch and smile. Thank you all for a great job!

Thank you Chistine,

Reg
